Psychology: Can you learn to taste numbers, smell words, or hear colors?(via @io9) → io9.com

Do you know anybody who experiences synesthesia? Also known as “synesthetes,” they’re people whose cognitive pathways have become jumbled, such that they associate seemingly unrelated senses or mental states with other senses or experiences —

“When you see something, does a scent come to mind? Sensing synaesthesia — the sensation of perfumed visualization. For a long time, we’ve been fascinated by the idea of hearing color, tasting sound,” —THE SCENT OF COLOUR

"ANALOG" the Scent!

image

“ANALOG” the Scent!

“Be Enchanted”

Lingering in the heart of the forest in the midnight hour is the scent of ANALOG. When curiosity calls and the pull of the dark is too beguiling to stay inside, this fragrance lights the way to a dreamland where mythical creatures and untamed emotions dance beneath the full moon.

This scent whispers folklore and magical tales from the realm where our shadows come out to play. The palette of ANALOG is composed of glowing green botanicals against a black sky. Mossy notes roll out like a green carpet for the sprites of the forest to grace in all their luminous splendour. Secrets written in their cedar scent trails sparkle as they flutter here and there. The spicy sweet essence of tonka bean swirls like a charmed pool rippling under the moon.

The heart, middle and top notes of the scent play on reed pipes, flutes and wind chimes, as light and airy as the creatures that take flight when the bottle is opened. Enveloped in the scent, its texture is a full-bodied natural fiber with the grassy core of tweed and the shimmering softness of a spider’s silk. Thriving on the creative energy of darkness and its hidden muses, ANALOG is a strange and beautiful blend for strange and beautiful people. Personalities who delight in being branded odd, quirky or off beat will delight in this fragrance. Those who embrace the dark and are keenly aware of what it strives to conceal will use this scent with pride, knowing that it holds a greater significance.

A drop of ANALOG is more than a signature scent. It is a signal to kindred spirits who are acquainted with the world beyond our waking sights. It is a mark of membership in a sacred coven for those who recognize the spirits of the earth stirring in their psyches. It is a tribute to all that goes on unseen but not unaware and a proclamation that the hidden workings of the world are beautiful.

This is the smell of “Analog”
